Nick was born at home but when his mother saw him she had to be rushed to hospital.Although born in Manchester he has spent most of his life in the Suffolk countryside which would explain his ruddy complexion and fondness for silage. Educated by l’oreal, because he’s worth it, at the Fitzwilliam school for gifted halfwits he gained a first. Upon leaving school his first job was as a 'tight end' with the Houston Oilers, unfortunately his career with Oilers came to an abrupt end when it was discovered that his 'end' had been artificially tightened by the use of Jeyes Fluid a material which at that time was banned by Texas but was curiously still available in B&Q and Homebase.

Throughout all of Nicks career his hand has not been far from his G string, his mastery of the note F# is unrivalled in the music world.

John Entwistle once said of him “get off my f&*^ing drive you tosser” what truer words could be said ?. In 2005 he was asked to join the John Stannard Band initially to make up the numbers but more recently to make up the numbers.
